Ubani co-founders Ana Chorgolashvili and Nata Tatunashvili will present the project ‘RUKA’ as part of Social Design Days
On the opening day of the Social Design Days, dedicated to urban spaces and heritage, Ubani will introduce the ongoing project ‘RUKA’ to a broader audience for the first time.
Tbilisi, with its captivating and distinctive urban landscape, remains insufficiently explored, and its urban data is not adequately represented in studies and cartography. To address this gap, the team behind the RUKA project is generating datasets that encompass various aspects of the city’s fabric. These datasets will be accessible through interactive maps, providing a more comprehensive understanding of Tbilisi's unique urban characteristics.
The RUKA maps enhance Tbilisi's global online presence and facilitate a deeper understanding of its urban landscape. They benefit a diverse range of users: scholars, architecture students, urban planners, developers, municipal officials, tourists, and members of the local community interested in expanding their knowledge about the city and its history.
