Ubani is inviting the public to the presentation of a guidebook exploring the historical Kala district, published with the support of Loco Park.
The series of guidebooks about Tbilisi’s districts begins with its oldest neighbourhood — Kala. The publication, which is part of Ubani’s research program titled “Rocks,” seeks to understand the district as a living archive shaped by history, social changes, and climate. It offers readers both artistic and scientific frameworks for engaging with Kala’s visual character and historical narrative, while also capturing the vibrant contemporary life of the district.
“Kala” is intended for anyone interested in architecture, urban heritage, and history. Together with Loco Park, Ubani is organizing an in-person event to mark the official launch of the guidebook.
The presentation will be held at Kona Books, a venue for book launches, readings, screenings, and exhibitions. The guide will be presented by Ubani co-founders David Brodsky and Ana Chorgolashvili. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase the publication during the event.
